Skin We Love

Meghan Markle - pregnant, glowing and in Australia.

The new announcement of the expecting Royals has us buzzing with excitement. Meghan Markle is not only showing off her beautiful, natural skin, but now the expecting duchess is showing off her new baby bump and we couldn’t be more excited.

The moment Meghan Markle walked down the aisle letting her natural skin show, changed the skin world forever. Never before have we seen a Royal be so comfortable and confident in her own skin. So how does one of the most loved Royals keep her skin glowing?

Here we reveal Meghan’s skin secrets...

Meghan swears by looking after her skin by incorporating regular facial massages into her skincare routine.

Massaging your skin not only relieves tension and stress, but it immediately starts working on the lymphatic system to help clear toxins and fluids. It also stimulates healthy blood flow, which delivers oxygen and fresh nutrients to your skin cells. Massage will also help improve skin tone and texture, refine the pores, and keep skin looking clearer.

Meghan ensures she follows a balanced diet and avoids gluten whenever possible. She snacks on almonds and includes skin-friendly food in her diet. Meghan tries to keep vegan during the week but treats herself to whatever she feels like on the weekends.

"On the weekends all bets are off, I think if you deprive yourself of anything you're just going to crave it more, so for me it's just finding that balance. Eating really good during the week and then treating yourself to whatever it is that you want over the weekend." - Meghan Markle

Adding skin-friendly foods to your regular diet definitely contributes to the appearance of your skin. Almonds are one of the 6 key foods you should be including in your daily diet for glowing skin. Having a mainly vegan diet eliminates dairy from your diet. Dairy can have a devastating effect on some skins as it can cause an increase in oil production and inflammation.

Meghan keeps her skin well hydrated throughout the day with plenty of water and smoothies made of coconut water and berries.

Your body in 60% water and skin in 64% water so keeping well hydrated is essential for looking and feeling great. Skin friendly smoothies keep you hydrated and are also a great way to load up on vital nutrients for your skin.

Meghan wears little makeup and on her days off she likes to wear no makeup at all.

If you have ever gone a week with no makeup you will understand just how much better your skin looks and feels. l always tell my brides to go makeup free for up to a month prior to their big day, it makes the world of difference to the appearance of the skin.  Makeup can cause blockages in the skin and can also trigger breakouts.

Meghan helps sculpt her face from the inside out by incorporating facial exercises into her skincare routine.

On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are waaaay more sculpted.” –Meghan Markle

When our muscles sag we know to workout to help keep them toned. There are particular workouts designed to sculpt the muscles of the face, some made famous by Victoria Beckham. Singing and laughing exercise so many muscles in the face.  You only have to look at professional singers to realise how exercising your facial muscles can help tone your face. Turing up the stereo and singly loudly is good for your soul and good for your skin.

People are lining up to have Meghan’s freckles tattooed to achieve her natural looking skin.

I don’t just take care of myself for aesthetic reasons, but because how I feel is dictated by what I’m eating, how much rest I’m getting and how much water I’m drinking.” -Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle’s skincare routine is quite simple, but full of good, easily achievable habits.
